Books by the Banks

The 2nd Annual Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival was a Big Success!

 

Poster artFree and open to the public, Books by the Banks, scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 10am-4pm at Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, featured:


  • over 100 regional and local authors
  • book signings
  • author panels
  • activities for the entire family to enjoy
  • and much, much more.

 

Approximately 2,000 attendees came to the book festival to meet their favorite authors, get books signed, attend author panels, and to enjoy crafts and reading time in the Target Kids' Corner.

 

A printed program of the day's activities with a list of authors is available online as a pdf (download Adobe Acrobat Reader).

Books by the Banks was a joint effort of Borders Books, CET, Cincinnati Magazine, The Mercantile Library, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and the University of Cincinnati Libraries.

 

C.F. PayneThe artwork for the Books by the Banks poster was done by artist C.F. Payne. His artwork has graced the covers of Time Magazine, Readers Digest, Sports Illustrated, and many others (as well as 10 children's picture books including Micawber written by John Lithgow).

 

 

A submission form to participate in Books by the Banks, 2009, scheduled for October 17 at Duke Energy Convention Center, will be available in January. Check back for more information.
